Many people in the Garden Ranch neighborhood make a wonderful loop of walking down Flintridge and back up through the open meadow along Union Boulevard.  The land was proposed to the Trails and Open Space committee this summer in order to help preserve some of the open feeling in our neighborhood.  Many of the residence of Garden Ranch have lived here for over 20 years and watched the amount of open space in the neighborhood shrink until today only this one remaining portion is undeveloped.

We need to get as many people from the neighborhood as possible to attend the meeting and help guide the City Planning Department on the use of this land.  If you would like input on the future of our neighborhood, please plan on attending.  If you can not make it, please be sure to contact

Due to the size of our neighborhood, not everyone has been contacted.  If you know of other interested and active people, please encourage them to attend.  If you would like more information, please contact Wayne and Dorothy Hume @ 598-2274 or Scot Hume @ 598-6106.  A web site with this information is also available at http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/hume/union.htm

Thank you for your support in helping preserve some open space in our neighborhood.
